CPZ 200mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
CPZ 200mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CPZ 200mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.If the CPZ 200mg Tablet is given, monitor the baby for excessive sleepiness during breastfeeding.
CPZ 200mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
CPZ 200mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of CPZ 200mg Tablet is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. A close monitoring is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
There is limited information available on the use of CPZ 200mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

How to use CPZ Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CPZ 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How CPZ Tablet works
CPZ 200mg Tablet is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.
Common Weight gain, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Sleepiness, Akathisia, Dystonia, Dryness in mouth, Constipation, Abnormality of voluntary movements, Parkinsonism.

Cpz is not a benzodiazepine. It belongs to a class of medicines called phenothiazine antipsychotics. Cpz should not be used as a sleeping tablet
